The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is truth without error and serves as our final authority in all matters of faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105)
⸻
God
We believe there is one true and living God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, all-powerful, and worthy of all worship.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
⸻
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose bodily from the grave. He is the only way of salvation.
(John 14:6; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
⸻
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, draws people to Christ, and dwells within every believer. He empowers believers to live godly lives and equips them for service.
(John 16:8; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23)
⸻
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. It cannot be earned by good works. All who trust in Christ are forgiven and made new.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10)
⸻
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. The local church exists to worship God, make disciples, serve others, and share the gospel with the world.
(Acts 2:42-47; Matthew 28:19-20)
⸻
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism is by immersion and is a public declaration of faith in Christ. We observe the Lord’s Supper as a symbolic remembrance of Jesus’ death and sacrifice.
(Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
⸻
The Christian Life
We believe every Christian is called to live for Christ through obedience, holiness, and love. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers grow in their faith and reflect Christ to the world.
(Colossians 1:10; Galatians 2:20)
⸻
The Family
We believe God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and children are a blessing from the Lord.
(Genesis 2:24; Psalm 127:3)
⸻
Last Things
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. There will be a final judgment, and all people will spend eternity either in heaven or hell.
(John 14:3; Revelation 20:11-15)
Our beliefs reflect Baptist doctrine from a historical context and aligns closely with the Southern Baptist Convention and The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
